Camping on the Monroe

We Went camping again over the 24th of July, it was so nice to get out of the heat. We had so much fun cruising around in the Ranger. This was our camp spot on the Monroe

We put almost 300 miles on the Ranger and the kids did great!!

The kids found a large stock pile of lady bugs and stayed entertained for quite some time catching and holding them.

The kids got to see quite a few elk.

Ogden Rodeo

We went to the Ogden Rodeo

Soapstone Camping

My sister Amy started the whole wilderness painting thing last year at Scofield and it really caught on. All the kids spent hours painting their little fort area, it was awesome. Don't worry it's not permanent, after a couple of rain storms the trees will be back to normal. Jade and her cousin Jake where so cute together, they worked side by side for hours!

Sage loves to paint and it shows.

Our cousin Jake Wight, Jade's little accomplice

Jade ruined more than one set of clothes this weekend, good thing it was all water based paint.

The kids had so much fun riding in the Ranger, the jeep, and on the four wheelers. It was like musical chairs everytime we stopped. And we had to stop a ton because the girls thought it was so fun to use Grandma's potty. Grandma decided to stop giving them water because it was getting a little out of hand, it was so funny.

We found some Mountain Goats on the cliffs we stopped to look at, Ricky and Matt where so excited you would have thought they found a pot of gold. They took a ton of pictures. It was cool because the kids got to see the goats. The mountain goat is right next to the tree in the first picture. It's kind of far away, but that little white spec is a moutain goat laying down.
This goat was literally on the edge of the cliff, it's hard to see it but it is near the middle.
Here is the same goat looking up at Ricky

Rain was the story of the day on Thursday, It was nice it wasn't dusty.
Here are some wild flowers Ricky found on one of his early morning adventures. I don't understand why he doesn't want to sleep in when we are on vacation, oh well.

Kurt Draper, Matt Drapers dad, tracked us down with his GPS and dropped in to say hi. Their bikes where so shiny, they seemed out of place with all the dust.

Ricky really likes his new truck, even though we have had it for a while.

Thursday Night we went to the Oakley rodeo.
